Plot: Erin (Drew) and Garrett (Justin) meet and fall in love. Only thing is, they live on each site of the country and they now have to try to have a distance relationship. That is not always the easiest thing.

Discussion:
Victoria: I really like the chosen actors in this movie. Also, I fell a little bit in love with the story.
Ninnie: It's really nice yes. Funny and cute! Hm? What else is there to say? Haha, I'm already out.
Victoria: Oh. I'm not sure it's a good thing we are out of comments already haha. But who shoud watch this movie?
Ninnie: Hm? Well people who has been in this kind of situation will probably enjoy it. And well everyone who wants a good rom/com (heter det så? Vet inte ?? kanske det gör ^^), both dudes and chicks! Bad part?
Victoria: Honestly I can not think of any bad parts. I enjoyed it from the beginning to the end. Do you have something?
Ninnie: Nope!

Sum up: Cute, funny and interesting story for both genders.

Pirates of the Caribbean 4, On stranger tides

Title: Pirates of the Carribbean 4, On stranger tides
Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Release: May 18th, 2011 (World Premiere)
Actors: Johnny Depp, Penélope Cruz, Geoffrey Rush, Ian McShane
Plot: Follow Jack Sparrow in his attempt to find the Fountain of Youth.

Discussion:
Victoria: We watched it in 3D in the movies and I must say this movie is NOT worth watching in 3D. There were practically no effects whatsoever. So kind of dissappointed in that area, but since I love all the Pirates movies I like this one as well. A good follow-up, but not AS good as the first 3.
Ninnie: Not as good at all! Don't get me wrong it's still a very good one! I think it would have been better if Kiera Knightley (Elisabeth) and Orlando Bloom (Will) would have been in it. But as long as Depp (Jack Sparrow) is in it I'm ok with it.
Victoria: Yes. I never really like when you remove the main characters in movies (or shows..), so that is actually a big minus. But if I should review the movie itself and leave out the negative comments (on 3D and removing main characters) I think it's an exciting movie and it still has the famous Pirates-of-the-Carribbean-feeling to it, which is a BIG plus.
Ninnie: True! You gotta love the music! Powerful! At least to us pirates fans Haha! Acting wise?
Victoria: You gotta love Depps performances in all the movies, and he doesn't fail in this one either. I must say I'm no fan of Cruz in this movie. I have nothing against her as an actress, but she doesn't fit in this movie and therefor I'm a little annoyed by her acting. Might just be me, but yeah. That's my opinion. What do you say?
Ninnie: Omg, so true! I didn't realize this until you said it, but oh God it's true. I was totally annoyed by her acting while watching but I didn't really think about it, just like subconsciously.

Sum Up: Can't even be compared to the other POTC movies but still really good and exciting! And a must-see if you've seen the other ones (If you haven't you should)!

Victoria: 3,5/5
Ninnie: 3,6/5

Actors: Katherine Heigl, Josh Duhamel
Plot: Holly and Messer are two single people with very different lifestyles. Unfortunately their mutual best friends dies in a car accident, and leaves Holly and Messer to become caregivers to their daughter, together.

Discussion:
Ninnie:
I found this movie very entertaining and cute!
Victoria:
I adored this movie ! It's so neat ! I mean, I thought Life As We Know It would be just like the average romantic comedy,  but it had that "little extra" a movie needs to have to be slightly better than the rest in this genre.
Ninnie: True. They're both great actors and Josh Duhamel is great for this part, a tough but still soft guy.Heigl is alor great for her part. Do you think this is like similar to any other movie?
Victoria: I can't put a name on a movie it would be similar to, but it feels like it is. I do think it's a little different with the baby story and all that, and it's a pretty obvious movie, but all a long it's very emotional. My sister cried a little ^^ Is it more of a chick flick than a guys movie?
Ninnie: Hm? In a way yes. But I think that a mature guy would like this, the kind of guy who wants a family in some way, some day. But yes I do believe it's more of a movie for women, but to all you guys out there, it is funny and interesting! What do you say,Victoria?
Victoria: Yeah it's a chick flick, but like you say, if guys like those kinds of movies they will like this one too!

Sum up: A cute and entertaining romantic/drama comedy movie that is slightly better than the average chick flick.

Genre: Documentary, comedy, action

Discussion:
Ninnie:
They're idiots but you just gotta love them! They're freakin' awesome!
Victoria: Right?! If you've liked what they have done before you won't be disappointed. They have new crazy stuff going on and it's highly disgusting and awesome to watch!
Ninnie: Totally. Hm? This might be the best one actually! Or well actually I shouldn't say anything about that since it was a very long time ago I saw the other ones. They do have more disgusting scenes in this one, I personally like the dary things they do more.
Victoria: Yeah. So do I. In a way I don't have much more to add, I feel that if you know how and who they are and what they do you will either, if you like them, watch it and like this one or, if you don't like them, you won't like it. If you know what I mean.
Ninnie: True, but what do you say about the things they do, like do you think they're doing more risky things in this one or do you think that the fact that they're getting older they do easier stuff?
Victoria: No I believe they are worse haha. I mean they have always done weird stuff, and they do not disappoint the viewer in this movie. I don't notice them getting older. (Sounds like they are seniors or something now haha.)
Ninnie: (Haha yes totally.) I agree!

Sum up: As awesome as always!

At the "insemination-party" Wally gets superdrunk and accidently spills the sperm from the future father of Kassies baby into the sink. To make up for his misstake he replaces it with his own sperm without telling anyone.

Discussion:
Ninnie: I really enjoyed this movie! Like alot!
Victoria: Yes ! Me too. You'd think it would be like this normal, average romantic comedy movie with two famous actors, but this one, I thought, had that little extra. It's a neat movie.
Ninnie: Totally. I like both Aniston and Bateman as actress/actor and the kid was really cute. Some parts where really funny, some cute and some sad. Really good mix.
Victoria: For sure. I'm not sure it's a movie for everyone though. I think it's mainly a chick flick, guys might like it, but I think it's mostly for the female crowd...?
Ninnie: Hm? Maybe so. So any bad/less good parts?
Victoria: Not really. I liked it all the way through.
Ninnie: Me too.

Sum up: Surprisingly good movie! Good actors, nice story, a cozy and funny movie.

The Social Network

Title: The Social Network
Genre: Biography, Drama, History
Release: February 23rd, 2011 (DVD, Sweden)
Actors: Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield, Justin Timberlake
Plot: How did Facebook start..?

Discussion:
Ninnie: Very interesting! If you use facebook on a daily basis you have to see this one. Or well not really have to but I found it very interesting
Victoria: I thought it was really good. They really made it interesting and "dramatic/drama-filled" (not sure how exaggerated it is compared to reality, but still, it's good for the movie). I liked Jesse (the main character, and he who played the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg).
Ninnie: Me too! I like how "quick" all the lines are. I don't think you'll like it unless you use facebook. What do you say?
Victoria: No, I think you need to be on facebook, and like know about it and stuff. I do think most people do, but yeah. It will be much more interesting for a facebook user, for sure. Was there anything you didn't like about it?
Ninnie: Hm? I feel like I should have something to say about that but Hm? Help me.
Victoria: I know, I'm thinking the same. It's not a perfect movie, but I really can't think of anything bad about it.  What does that tell you....? Hehe.
Ninnie: Totally. Maybe the fact that it wasn't very funny nor exciting. Only interesting. Also, some movies you can definitely tell it's based on a real story, and not in a good way. And this is one of them. Do you know whay mean? It's like a very long process that has been squeezed into like 2 hours.
Victoria: Yes, true. I think I would only say that reason if I really HAD to say something negative about it, though. But I definitely get what you mean.
Ninnie: Exactly!

Sum up: Interesting story and a movie we would recommend to someone who would like to know the background to Facebook.

Oceans

Title: Oceans
Genre: Documentary, Animals
Release: Mars 2nd, 2011 (DVD, Sweden)
Director: Jacques Perrin
Plot: Follow Director Jacques Perrin and his team and explore the ocean and everything it has to offer. 50 different places on Earth and 100 different animals.

Discussion:
Victoria: We've been so excited to watch this one, since we both love watching movies that involves water, and yes all the water parts were awesome ! BUT, big fail was that it was such a quite movie! Barely no comments at all. Someone said something like 5 times. It got pretty boring.
Ninnie: Totally! A dissappointement. I really think I would have enjoyed it more if I'd seen it in 3D at the movies. I mean it's beautiful don't get me wrong but I was really looking forward to learn things about the fishes and the ocean.
Victoria: Definitely! If I would compare this one with the movie Earth I saw like last year or 2 years ago, I liked that one so much better. The filming and all that was the same, they were in the ocean and in nature and so on, but they had people talking about what it showed and comments about it and stuff, which made the movie sooo much more interesting to watch.
Ninnie: I haven't seen Earth but I sure want to now Haha. Yes this is a great 20 minutes long video but after that I'm afraid it stops beeing entertaining.

Sum up: Definitely a movie with interesting footage and cool clips with beautiful creatures in the ocean, but we dislike the fact that there is barley no one saying anything through out it.

Ninnie: 2,9/5
Victoria: 2,7/5 (Feels strange to give this bad, but I guess we are hard this time haha.)

Plot: A group of criminals get a once in a lifetime opportunity to get 25 million dollars. Their plan is bullet proof, or is it really...?

Discussion:
Ninnie: Really exciting movie I must say.
Victoria: I agree, I liked the mixed actors in this one.... like in the sense that they are not very similar to one an other. Kinda.
Ninnie: Totally. The really awesome part was that you really didnt know which side you were on. The cops or the bad guys's...?
Victoria: Yeah. If you're looking for an action-filled movie I would defintely recommened this one!
Ninnie: Me too. It takes different turnes every now and then. What do you say about the acting?
Victoria: I liked them all. Chris Brown was in the movie, and I must say I had a liiiiiitttle hard time seeing him as another person/a charactor, but other than that I liked them all.
Ninnie: True. So bad part?
Victoria: Well, besides what I just mentioned, I can't really think of anything in particular. I really enjoyed watching it and yeah I wouldn't say I think it contains anything "bad-bad". What do you say?
Ninnie: I agree my friend.

Sum up: Exciting and interesting through out the entire movie. We would definitely recommend this one to everyone who wants a good action/thriller movie.

Four Lions

Title: Four Lions
Genre: Comedy, Drama
Release: In the Movie Theaters Feb 4th (Sweden)
Actors: Riz Ahmed, Arsher Ali, Nigel Lindsay, Kayvan Novak, Adeel Akhtar
Plot: Four Lions follows 4 British jihadists, each with their own unique character, who decides to become suicide bombers.

Discussion:
Ninnie: Ok I sort off don't know what to think about this movie. Do I like it or not? Victora, you seemed to enjoy it anyway.
Victoria: Haha, yes I did. I thought they made it pretty hilarious with their clumsyness. Even though it is a quite serious thing we are talking about here I think the director, Christopher Morris, managed to take the seriousness out and only focus on finding something fun about it.
Ninnie: Yes definitely. I had a really hard time enjoying it. I did laugh from time to time but mostly I just thought of how serious this actually is. It's kind of lame to think that way since almost every movie contains things that could and have happened in reality, but I did anyway. You have to have a open mind to this one as you say.
Victoria:  True. I kinda think that this is a movie that you either love (like a lot) or hate (really dislike). I'm sure it will make the audience talk and discuss the matter and the movie. I'm also sure it will be discussions in the media about it as well.
Ninnie: Well I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. So, no Victoria that's not right Haha. I liked it in some parts and disliked it in other.
Victoria:  I don't mean it that way, I just mean that either you have a more positive attitude against it or a negative. You seem to be more negative about it, than -in this case- me. So who do you think should watch Four Lions?
Ninnie: Ok fine. Yes, I believe I do.
Hm? Well, not the too serious ones anyway. As for me, I don't regret watching it. If I would have the option to choose to watch it again for the first time (despite knowing that I won't find it THAT good) I would. Hm? I have a hard time saying who should and who shouldn't. Help me Victoria.
Victoria: I hear ya, it is hard. In some way I feel that anyone can watch it- since I think people are going to think so differently about it. I'd say if you like humor about people being clumsy and don't take movies toooo seriously, you will find Four Lions funny. If that's not your thing- well I think you could still give it a try, but then this is not a "must-see" for you.
Ninnie: True, very true. Ok, so I just watched it again in my head, and when I think about the funny parts I realize that it's really funny! Excluding the seriousness.

Sum up: Funny movie about a serious matter. Might not be appropriate to a younger audience. Very special movie, not like any other.

Ninnie: 3/5
Victoria: 4/5

Get him to the Greek

Title: Get him to the Greek
Genre: Comedy
Release: January 19 (DVD Sweden)
Plot: Aaron is an intern at a record company, his mission is to get the Brittish rock star Aldous Snow to a concert in L.A, at the Greek Theater. It's not as easy as you might think, especially when someone's on drugs.

Discussion:
Ninnie:
Not a good start but it definitely gets better after a while.
Victoria: True. Very true. I really like Jonah Hill as an actor, so I was hoping that, once his character would show up more I would like the movie a lot more. Russell Brand is very special. Sometimes I think he's too much, sometimes his accent is too awesome for me not to like him haha.
Ninnie: Haha I couldn't agree with you more. Jonah Hill in an awesome actor and he does an incredible job in this movie. Russell Brand is perfect for the character, I don't think anyone could have done it better. He is a bit too much as you say but it's perfect for this one. The story is quite entertaining and as you told me before I watched it, it's really easy to watch "Get Him To The Greek".
Victoria: It sure is a very easy going movie. It is purely made to entertain the watcher, and I think it succeeds. I'm not saying it's the best movie ever, but I think it's watchable. Like, if you have seen Russells (Ex. Forgetting Sarah Marshall) and Jonahs (Ex. Superbad) other movies and you like them you will enjoy this one as well. But if you know that you think they are bad or just too much, or just don't like this type of genre you will think the same about this one. For sure.
What is the negative parts about this movie?
Ninnie: So True! Bad part is as I mentioned, the beginning, it's so lame.
Some people might react to the bad language they're using, you get use to it though and it's like super common in this type of movie. I'm just saying that it's not suitable for everyone. Otherwise there's nothing bad in specific. What do you say?
Victoria: I agree. That's like the only bad part. I mean, it's obviously not a 5/5 movie, but it's definitely worth watching for entertainment. Any specific good parts in it?
Ninnie: Hear ya. Hm? Not really more then the great chose of actors and a easy going movie.

Sum Up: OK, easy going, great character/actor match. Entertaining but not suitable for everyone considering actors and language.

Victoria: 3,9/5

Happythankyoumoreplease / Kärlek i New York

Title: Happythankyoumoreplease / Kärlek i New York
Genre: Romance, Comedy
Release: January 19th (DVD, Sweden)
Actors: Josh Radnor, Malin Akerman, Michael Algieri, Kate Mara
Plot: Sam is a single man living in New York who finds a kid alone on the subway. The kid follows him home  and ends up staying at his place. At this point he also meets a girl.

Discussion:
Victoria: Cute movie. Cute actor. Cute kid.
Ninnie: Totally! The story is a bit slow but I still liked it a lot. Let me just say one thing,  Josh is HOT in the scruffy look.
Victoria: Oh yes. Ok, enough about him haha, although I could talk about him a lot more haha... I liked Malin Åkermans character in the movie, she was cool. But like you said, definitely a little slow. More happened towards the end.
Ninnie: True. So what do you think about the actors performance?
Victoria: I thought they all did a good job. Kinda average, not great but not sucky. How about you?
Ninnie: I agree. So good and bad? Good part, as we mentioned, it's cute and you want to know what's gonna happen. All the characters are kind of interesting individuals. Bad, also as we mentioned a bit slow. Who is this movie for, who should watch it?
Victoria: Well, I think people in our age (20 and up)- at least the female audience- should watch it and will like it. This is not really a super romantic movie, more of a cute one. So if guys like that kind of movie I think they will enjoy it too.

Sum up: Cute, yet a little slow movie with interesting characters.

We decided we need to rate this movie twice, because of the fact that we- forgive us- find the movie slightly better since we have some eyecandy (Josh Radnor) to watch all the time. Without him as an actor the movie itself is not as good. Apparently.

#1 (Thinking about the movie including Josh)

#2 (Excluding Josh)

Title: Shrek - Now and Forever
Genre: Animation, Adventure, Comedy
Release: December 1, 2010 (DVD Sweden)
Voices: Mike Myers, Eddie Murphy, Cameron Diaz
Plot: Shrek misses the time back when people were scared of him and he had a peaceful life. He is tricked into signing a contract that will make him the ogre he used to be for only a day. But he didn't really read the fineprint.

Discussion:

Ninnie: Not the best one of Shrek movies but still a funny one!
Victoria: Definitely. Shrek is always gonna be Shrek, and if you like the other 3 movies you will enjoy this one too.
Ninnie: Yeah! Hm, ok this was a tough one to make a review of. So what's bad about it?
Victoria: Maybe the fact that a fourth movie wasn't really neccessary. On the other hand it's fun to see Shrek and Fionas kids. And what's good about it?
Ninnie: It's an exciting story and of course the characters are funny as usual. Who should watch it?
Victoria: Well if you HAVE seen the other 3 ones I don't think you should miss this one. If you haven't seen the other ones I would suggest you'd catch those ones first.

Sum up: Not the best Shrek movie, but an exciting, entertaining and nice story.

Title: New York, I Love You
Genre: Drama, Romance
Release: December 29, 2010 (DVD Sweden)
Actors: Bradley Cooper, Andy Garcia, Hayden Christensen, Rachel Bilson, Natalie Portman, Orlando Bloom, Christina Ricci
Plot: A story of several couples living in New York.

Discussion:
Ninnie: Okay, seriously what's up with this movie?! This is a typical example of a movie where the director just chooses all these famous actors and make a movie which is not good at all.
Victoria: Bo-oo-rii-iing. Boring. Throughout the movie I was just waiting for something to happen. Nothing did. I don't really understand the purpose of New York, I love you.
Ninnie: Me neither. I mean the stories are not even interesting! You don't get any feeling about any of the characters, they're just there, and then they're not. It's like an unfinished story. Maybe that's the point? But it's a waste of time.
Victoria: Totally. Judging by the cover I was hoping this would be a nice movie about cute couples living in NY, but it doesn't even bring out the nice things with the Big Apple. Will someone like this movie- you think? And who, in that case?
Ninnie: Hm? Maybe someone who likes studying others relationship, but there sure ain't a lot of time for that. So, no? But sure there's someone who's gonna like it.The only thing I kind of liked was the "story" about the old couple, it was cute.
Victoria: I would not recommend it to anyone, actually.

Sum up: Big waste of time for viewers, big waste of money for the makers and a waste of time and effort from the good actors in it.

Plot: Precious is a heavily overweight black woman who struggles with an abusing mother and difficulties in school.

Discussion:
Ninnie: This is a really interesting story!

Victoria: Very touching ! If you usually cry to movies you will definitely cry to this one!
Ninnie: Hm? Like okay, you might think it's slightly more touching than I do, but sure, it is touching and it won't leave you without feeling her pain.
Victoria: Yeah. What do you think was especially good about it?
Ninnie: The fact that it's based on a true story and that it feels really real. Bad?
Victoria: I can't think of much, but if I should mention something I guess that would be that there's not really a lot of "changes" or huge events happening, everything is very "even" throughout the movie.....?

The Muppet Christmas Carol

Title: The Muppet Christmas Carol
Genre: Family, Comedy, Fantasy
Release: December 17 1992
Actors: Michael Caine

Discussion:
Ninnie: It's funny, sad and exciting! I really like it! Although I think that the first version, of Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol, you see is the one that you'll like the most. This was not the first one I saw there for not my personal favorite. Mine is definitely "Mickey's Christmas Carol". But still, it's really, really nice.
Victoria: Yeah I know what you mean. "luckily" (?) I can't remember Mickye's version very well (but I know that one is the only one I've watched before) so for me this one is special  I really like the characters in this version and how they make it funny with funny songs and so on....
Ninnie: Yes totally! If this is the first one you see, you'll love it! It's filled with Christmas spirit! If you know the songs you'll definitely "feel something" every time you sing them.
Victoria: Yeah I think it really gives you a spirit, which I think a Christmas movie should do... Can you find something less good about it?
Ninnie: Hm? Well I think that sometimes to much singing can destroy a movie, But then again it's Christmas and you're suppose to sing. And well of course I have to point out that for example when they're flying (it looks superduper lame and fake, but it's totally OK in this kind of movie. What do you say?
Victoria: I agree, well as long as the songs are nice it's ok, so I can't say it destroyed the movie. Not that I think you mean it that way anyway... But yeah, no otherwise I can't really think of anything. I think they made this one really good- a real classic.
Ninnie: No you're right that's not what I meant at all. And I agree!

Sum Up: Great Christmasy movie if you wanna get in the mood for the Holidays. It's good because it's both funny, exciting and sad, and if you're looking for a good Christmas carol and you haven't yet seen this one- see it!
